Parents & Citizens (P&C)

** Next P & C Meeting 25 March 7pm **

President's Welcome

Sutherland Dianella Primary School Parents & Citizens Association (SDPS P&C)

The SDPS P&C meets twice a term in the school library. All members of the school community are welcome. We love to meet new faces and make new friends!

It was wonderful to see new and returning parents attend the SDPS P&C AGMs on Monday night. Our committee members for 2019 are:

President: Gemma De Knock (Parent to children in Year 1, Kindy)

Vice president: Hayley Cook (Pre-Primary)

Treasurer: Toni Angelevski (Year 4, Year 3, Year 1, Kindy)

Secretary: Sarah Hehir (Year 1)

Executive Committee members: Caroline Cousins (Year 4), Susan Goodman (Year 4, Year 1), vacant

Fundraising Coordinator: vacant

The 2019 committee would like to thank the outgoing 2018 P&C for their hard work and dedication, in particular, President Sherron Papamihail, Treasurer Caroline Cousins and Secretary Susan Goodman. They have left the books in a very positive light and we look forward to continuing to work with them, and build upon their success.

We are still looking for a Fundraising Coordinator and an additional Executive Committee member for 2019. If you are interested in helping out please email

The main focus of the P&C is to create family friendly events for the school community to enjoy and we aim to raise money to improve the school life for our children at SDPS.

This year the school wish list includes: reverse cycle split system for the Kindergarten, Choir Microphones, EV3 Robots for Upper Primary and an Interactive Whiteboard for B Block.

We have many social and fundraising events throughout the year and are always looking for volunteers to lend a hand in making these events a success. We hope that with the support of the school community we can raise as much money as possible to give back to the school.

  • Bunnings Sausage Sizzle – 30 March
  • Easter Raffle – 11 April

 Term Two

The P&C oversee the canteen with our Canteen Manager Kathryn Flynn. The canteen can only run with the help of parents/grandparents/carers volunteering. If you ever want to see an amazingly run kitchen then put your hand up to help Kathryn out. We are incredibly lucky to have Kathryn on board, she is a professionally trained chef and if you have ever experienced her tasty treats at some of the catered events, then you know exactly what I mean. Please get behind Kathryn and support our canteen to ensure it can stay open for operation 3 days per week. Email Kathryn directly to volunteer

The P&C are selling SDPS School bags and these are the perfect complement to the school uniform. All profits go directly to the P&C. You can order them through Qkr!

School banking operates from the library every Wednesday morning 8.15am - 8.40am.

Our first social event is the Sundowner on Friday 8 March 5.30pm – 7.30pm. This is a wonderful event where SDPS families are invited to have a fun night eating some delicious food prepared by Kathryn and enjoy a live band. Be sure to enter the raffles on the night for some great prizes. Entry to the Sundowner is $5 per family. Bring a picnic blanket, some chairs and grab some dinner from the canteen. All money raised will be going towards funding our wishlist.

Throughout the year we like to run different fundraising opportunities. If anyone has suggestions please come to a meeting to share your ideas or email
