Robotics
Students from Years 5 to 6 have been selected for this school based GATE (Gifted and Talented Education) opportunity. Robotics at SDPS is a program that will provide challenging and highly motivating learning opportunities, to children with exceptional academic ability or creative talent working with LEGO Mindstorms EV3 and Sphero 2.0 robots. Robotics Education also allows students to work cooperatively with their peers, problem-solve, innovate, create and investigate with technologies. In 2016, the year 6 group took part in the RoboCupJunior WA (http://www.robocupjunior.org.au/about) competition in August.
